Want free master-classes from big-hearted heroes?
I offer rigorously researched stories, sharp-eyed perspectives and wandering narratives that get at the heart of what our world is about. I believe kind-hearted journalism has the power to spark positive change in our world.
I’m an Aussie freelance journalist and blogger with a penchant for travel that has landed me in Spain. From my new home beside the Mediterranean Sea, I continue to write about Australia while also delving beyond Spain’s sangria and siesta stereotypes to tell compelling stories about the nation’s people, culture and customs.
I’ve worked as a professional journalist since 2005, including a two-year stint as political reporter with the Australian metropolitan daily newspaper, The Courier-Mail.
Most recently, I’ve been a freelance writer full-time since 2013.
My work has appeared in publications including Frankie, Dumbo Feather, Kill Your Darlings, The Lifted Brow, Junkee, QWeekend, The Adelaide Review, Big Issue Australia, Barossa Living, New Internationalist, Narratively, El País, GlobalPost, International Living (Australia and America editions), Something You Said, Baltic Outlook, Let’s Go with Ryanair and the Krakow Post.
In 2012, I launched the ethical lifestyle blog The Little Green House with my sister, Alana. We teach everyday people how to make easy vegetarian and vegan recipes plus live a more sustainable, kind life.
I believe in delivering original, in-depth and untold stories to intelligent readers.
