Want free master-classes from big-hearted heroes?
I have a BA (Public Relations) from RMIT University, Melbourne, and can be contacted about freelance work.
I’m a communications specialist. I like new projects, possibilities, building things from the ‘ground-up’. I like to review and improve. I like change. I believe the solution starts with the audience. I think strategy should be evidence-based, not just what someone would ‘like to do’. I like to challenge and be challenged. I like asking ‘why?’.
I’m interested in research, planning, writing, digital, social, design, print, photography, media, solving problems, bringing people together; working in places where integrity and laughs matter. I like seeking out facts, figures, photos, thoughts, ideas, theories, to tell a story. Discovering new things. Putting ideas into action. I have worked in London, Melbourne, government, finance, education, transport, community festivals, major events.
My writing has been published on the No Fibs citizen journalism website, the Omnirambles PR blog, in the Shepparton News, and on Emily Luxton’s travel blog.
I’ve featured on Al Jazeera English’s ‘The Stream’ program twice: one the ‘Danielgate’ scandal in Morocco (blog; TV program; August 2013) and press freedom in Egypt (February 2014).
I’m available to work on projects that go from a few days, to a few weeks, or even into ‘months’. Get in touch and let me know what you need doing, and we can take it from there.
